The T-72 is a family of Soviet main battle tanks that first entered production in 1971. About 20,000 T-72 tanks were built, T-72A version introduced in 1979 is considered a second-generation main battle tank. It was widely exported and saw service in 40 countries and in numerous conflicts. Kit consist of 1200 parts, 24 sprues, multi-part frame wrefined detail, separate turret, optional hatches, gun barrel with detailed breech and gun assemblies, 7.62mm machine gun and 12.7mm anti-aircraft machine gun with assemblies, cylindrical fuel tanks, smoke grenade launchers, trenching log, running gear (individual track links, road wheels, idlers and sprockets), transparent (lights, vision ports and optical equipment), photoetch (brackets, latches and other accents).
